INTRO

<One Peace> is the best animation brand. Even in Japan, the land of animations, there are no other animations that can compete with <One Peace>. Starting its broadcasting in 2003 through KBS, hundreds of episodes have been broadcasted through (Korea’s) major animation channels. <One Peace> holds a large number of fans in Korea. The main themes of this animation series are adventures and friendships with each storyline carefully weaving humor and imagination. The critically acclaimed series is so popular that people of all ages, from children to adults in their 20’s and 40’s, are avid fans of the animation. Its popularity can be seen firsthand at the exclusive ONE PIECE exhibition in Seoul and Pusan that opened in 2014 ~ 2015.

STORY

The story’s background begins with the death of Gol D. Roger, also known as the King of Pirates, who leaves his treasure, the ONE PIECE, behind. This marks the start of the Great Pirate Era where everyone seems to be in search of the ONE PIECE. A young man named Monkey D. Luffy, who yearns to become a pirate, gains the ability to stretch his body like rubber after unknowingly eating a Devil Fruit. Luffy sets out to become the next Pirate King and begins to gather his own crew of pirates. The crew of pirates is initially made up of Swordsman Zoro, Navigator Nami, Sniper Usopp, and Chef Sanji. Together with Luffy, they sail off to begin their adventurous journey and achieve their ultimate goal of finding the ONE PIECE.

Big promotion events are continued at famous convenience stores and fast food restaurants in South Korea. ONE PIECE is leading Korean character market by active business with plush toys, stationeries, household goods, food, and apparel.
